Meet Veteran Actor John Nicholson : Talks About His Career And More
A career that spanned decades is not one John Nicholson would have taken a bet on but in fact he did just that. Years ago, he had a friend who dared him to go to an acting audition, thinking he wouldn’t land a role. In a turn of fate, he landed the lead role and that was the beginning of the epic career in acting that we know today. He has even created a legacy with the emergence of his son, Phoenix Nicholson, an actor of his own right. Starring in shows such as “All My Children” and becoming the brand ambassador for sports brand, Go Sleeves, is just some of John’s many accomplishments.
John’s mother served as the driving force behind keeping his esteem afloat in order to become the tour de force he is today. He took that confidence and left his while collar job in favor of a profession that he developed a passion for. It was also his natural talent that beckoned him to explore another avenue. He has since graced the scene with stirring performances in beloved soap “All My Children” and “Murder Chose Me”. The latter being the role that he holds near and dear to his heart after all this time.
He has since progressed into more of a philanthropic thespian who has always felt the need to give back to those less fortunate. Recently, John has manufactured an audition coaching company called “Reel_Takes_Audion_Coaching” for 12-19 year old actors. It is something he wishes he had when he was younger so he is thrilled to present the opportunity to those in need. Nicholson also lends his cooking abilities to the San Francisco Rescue Mission on a regular basis. Not one to limit his humanitarian efforts, he has volunteered at Jonathan Jacques Children’s Cancer Center.
As an actor, he has his own list of inspirational stars who have created impactful careers. He seeks to work with Samuel L. Jackson and Meryl Streep in the not so far future. Also on this list are “How To Get Away with Murder” lead actress Viola Davis and the always versatile, Octavia Spencer. In exciting news for John, he is busy creating a TV pilot that he cannot wait to bring to fruition. While he is excited to direct, the love for bringing a character to life will always be his #1 passion. John Nicholson has formed a legacy.
