Monsta Yo' Disover what does he say in interview?

Journalist- Please, introduce yourself?

I go by the name of Monsta Yo. I’m from Long Beach California. Growing up in a hard life I made a lot of wrong decisions that ended up costing me my life for a very long period of time. But now as a grown man I make better choices and do what it takes as a responsible person to succeed in everything that I do. It’s all about inspiring others showing them that they can make it through struggle just like you did.

Journalist– What got you into music and made you realize that it was your chosen path?

What got me into music was that I realize that at a young age that music was the journal of my life. In every period there was something inspiring about a song that makes me remember everything. I wanted to be someone who could do the same for someone else and so I began to dab in the music here and there until one day I realized that I actually had a talent. The main person who got me wanting to really get into this field of entertainment was Tray Dee from the East sidaz.  He was someone that I knew and had always been inspired by. And I knew that if he could do it I could do it. And that’s what got me serious about hip Hop.

Journalist- Tell us about your new single. And what’s the story behind it?

My new single is title Sociopath Monsta Yo feat Young Buck, Small Will, Lord Daze… The single itself is a breakthrough release that’s showing the world that I deserve to be in this position of entertainment. It gives you an in-depth variety of heavy hitters with the west coast East Coast and down south swag. It’s a real game changer. We even have Jason Statham introducing us. People are really going to feel this vibe.

Journalist- What makes your music unique?

What makes my music unique is that I don’t sound like everybody else. Everyone is using Auto tunes and they have this common culture sound in hip hop. With me I sound like me I vibe in a way that makes you appreciate the uniqueness of where I’m coming from and how I’m laying it down on the tracks. You’ll be able to hear my intelligence while at the same time know that I’m a beast on so many levels.

Journalist-What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?

The advice that I would give to aspiring musicians is that the one thing you should never stop doing is believing in yourself. There’s so many people in this world that’s going to be your naysayers and they’re going to try to bring you down and make you feel less than. There’s so many people that’s going to tell you that you suck and that you don’t cut it. You have to become your own best cheerleader and drive yourself  and motivate yourself to keep going. Also promotion is everything, understand the business of promotion and marketing. That’s what’s going to take you far, it’s the connections and bonds you make that make the most sense. Be true to your word regardless who around you is not true to their word, and I’m telling you people will see that and appreciate that and respect that. That’s the advice I would give.

Journalist- And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future?

Absolutely I would love to collaborate with tech N9ne, Tray Dee, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Twista, Busta Rhymes, Snoop dogg, Warren g, and Ludacris.

Journalist- Any upcoming projects?

I’m working on my album now. And I’m also putting together a few singles that are about to surprise a lot of people.. I’m not going to mention the collaborations but it’s going to be a bunch of heavy hitters to say the least.
