D Kirk KV developed a passion for music from his father. D Kirk KV’s sound is really from his heart and his love of music. Although he originates from the east coast in Philadelphia, he has the west coast style and swagger. Kirk’s family and friends are of tropical descent (the Caribbean and Jamaica). He fuses this aspect of his life into his music. This can be seen in his song “Put It Down” on which he featured Sunnie.

As far as producers that he looks up to he says there are many that inspire him to be who he is. He says his main inspirations are Timbaland, Hitmaka, and Benji Yang.
