“The day we made this record I remember weku in the studio with his head phones on, at that moment I knew he was cooking up some heat. I kept saying just let me hear it! He finally air drops me the beat and i immediately start thinking of an Ex situation and went straight to the writing pad in my BandLab app. The record was done an hour later.” Explains Rene.

She continues “I think that relationship get thrown away for the smallest reasons to often, sometimes due to a bad communication or ego so we lack the ability to reconcile. I named this record Keith Sweat because growing up I always heard my mom listening to him, and people saying that he was always  begging I loved that about him and this song reminds me of that. Additionally he was a great friend of a long time mentor I had, “The late Grammy Award Winning Engineer Alvin Speights” he always spoke so highly of him and how much he wanted us to work together.”

“Keith Sweat” is a follow up record to her smash single “Nights like This” The singer released back in April, and it immediately debuted at No. 2 on the Apple Music R&B charts. The music video also hit the charts peaking at No. 22 in all genres. At the time of this writing Nights Like This, has enjoyed a consecutive 25 week run on one of Apple Music’s most popular R&B playlist, Brown Sugar, with hundreds of thousands of streams.

Now in the height of the trailblazing success of her last single she follows up with another certified banger in the track cleverly titled… Keith Sweat.
