KMuss is a burgeoning music producer hailing from the vibrant city of Philadelphia, where his innovative beats are making waves in the music scene. With a distinctive style that blends elements of hip-hop, electronic, and experimental music, KMuss is quickly gaining recognition for his unique sound and artistic vision.

Kevin Musser, born October 15, 1995, known professionally as “KMuss,” is an American record producer and beatmaker. He is from the Delaware County area of Pennsylvania, just minutes away from Philadelphia. KMuss is currently independent and working with many rising artists.

His career started at the age of 23 when his mother was facing a 3 year jail sentence.  He was determined to find his passion and after months of praying to God, he finally found producing after catching interest when hearing Metro Boomin’s beats on the album “Double Or Nothing” by Big Sean and Metro Boomin. He soon downloaded FL studio and fell in love. After finally making his first beat on July 3, 2018, KMuss knew that he had the creativity and also the determination needed to make it in this industry. Since then he has worked with popular Philadelphia artists such as Kur, Quilly Millz, Drewboy, Drama b2r, Dappa, and Young Money’s own Drizzy P, and more.

KMuss’ wide-ranging sound can be described as creative yet cohesive, with layers of intricate melodies, pulsating beats, and atmospheric textures. He seamlessly fuses elements of classic hip-hop with modern electronic production techniques, creating tracks that are both nostalgic and forward-thinking. His music transcends traditional genre boundaries, offering listeners a sonic journey that is both immersive and dynamic.

On August 25, 2020, KMuss produced Quilly’s hit song “Drought Where” alongside Tekashi 6ix9ine’s producer Koncept P. This opened doors for KMuss as it featured on the legendary Cosmic Kev’s Philadelphia based radio station 98.9 (Power 99). Cosmic Kev gave KMuss a call and told him to keep his foot on the gas, exactly what KMuss is doing. KMuss came right back with another power 99 feature when he produced “For Me” for Quilly on Nov. 18, 2020. In the introduction of “For Me” Quilly shouts out KMuss saying “Aye KMuss, I told you, all we have to do is stay in the studio” and he was right. KMuss then had 2 songs land on Quilly’s album “Tonya Son” on November 20, 2020. A month before the album was released, Quilly also used a KMuss beat on Funk Flex’s “Block Work” Youtube series.

The KMuss beat used by Quilly on Funk Flex was captivating as Quilly does his thing and flows effortlessly. The video is on Youtube.com labeled “Funk Flex Block Work 0008.” KMuss On The Beat then went on to produce “Big Dram” for Drama b2r and “Big Dawg” for Drewboy in 2022. In June 2022, KMuss landed 2 songs on Benny the Butcher’s artist, Dappa’s album “Thanks For Nothin 2.” This got him an Apple Itunes plaque for Top 200 hip hop/ rap albums. KMuss recently got a placement on Young Money’s Drizzy P’s “Mental Warfare” album which dropped on Oct. 3, 2023. He credits his “secret weapon” producer, Kaapo from Italy, on creating the crazy NBA youngboy type melody and the rest was history. Drizzy P created a memorable music video to the KMuss-produced banger titled “Who TF Is Drizzy P?”

One of KMuss’ defining characteristics as a producer is his meticulous attention to detail. Each track is meticulously crafted, with every sound carefully selected and arranged to evoke a specific mood or emotion. Whether it’s the haunting melodies of a late-night groove or the energetic rhythms of a summer anthem, KMuss’s music is always imbued with a sense of authenticity and depth.

In addition to his solo work, KMuss has also collaborated with a diverse range of artists and producers, contributing his production skills to various projects across different genres. His collaborative spirit and willingness to experiment have earned him a reputation as a versatile and in-demand producer within the Philadelphia music scene and beyond.

As his career continues to gain momentum, KMuss remains committed to pushing the boundaries of his craft and exploring new sonic territories. With each release, he continues to captivate audiences with his distinct sound and artistic vision, solidifying his position as one of Philadelphia’s most exciting emerging producers. As he continues to evolve and refine his sound, the future looks bright for KMuss, and his journey as a rising talent in the music industry is one that is undoubtedly worth following.
