In The Den With Nala
Hi there! I’m Lameka Huntley, also known as Nala, serving as the CEO, founder, and host of “Nala’s Den.” My journey in the entertainment industry began in 2017, organizing events for artists in clubs and assisting in building a promotion team. However, I encountered a roadblock of depression and people-pleasing, losing touch with myself. Realizing the need for a change, I distanced myself from negativity, unintentionally disconnecting from the world.
Seeking self-discovery, I pursued a business bachelor’s degree, establishing my podcast within the confines of my home. Focusing on my voice over social media, I transitioned to telling stories and amplifying others’ voices. My podcast on mental health led to a collaboration with Power 904 online radio station in Jacksonville, FL, evolving into hosting behind-the-scenes work for independent artists.
The endeavor expanded, leading to interviews with celebrities, authors, producers, and DJs. This progress inspired the creation of a digital magazine, “On Our Radar With Power 904.” Today, our magazine reaches millions, fostering authentic connections to collectively overcome mental health challenges and destigmatize seeking help. We emphasize the importance of discussing issues without judgment, empowering individuals to pursue their aspirations despite setbacks.
