Interviewer: Please, introduce yourself?

Hello my name is Egypt also known as Egypt The Goddess on social platforms, IG is @egyptthegoddess_ I’m an upcoming Egyptian r&b singer from NY.

Interviewer: What got you into music and made you realize that it was your chosen path?

I been interested in music since I was a little girl. My mom said I could sing before I could talk, literally. Always humming trying to sing. Music has always been something I’m extremely passionate about it. It’s always been an escape from reality for me. What ever hardships I was goin thru as a child & even today. as soon as I put my headphones in and sing I’d tune the entire world out

Interviewer: Tell us about your new single. And what’s the story behind it?

My new single “Riding thru ya city” is about my journey on traveling from city to city after I packed up what little i had in New York and just said fuck it, I don’t have nothing to lose right now. I’m living a life I don’t want. I wanna take all the risk for the life I do want, I got on the road to start hustling how ever I could & networking and getting my name known out there. I know my destiny and I’m not gonna stop til I reach the top. It also talks about mainly what I do it for. My family. I wanna change our lives for ever and future generations to come. My parents always told me I was born to be a star and I’m different. They’ve always held me at the level and told me I should hold myself to that level too. And always chase my dreams. That with god, faith & confidence I can do anything I desire in this life. Which I have and will.

Interviewer: What makes your music unique?

What makes my music unique is not only am I the first Egyptian American r&b artist, but I incorporate a lot of spirituality in my music like how god is always by my side and my family and they will be the reason I get to where I’m going. How I’m a boss and a loyal ride or die person for anyone around me. How I’ve sacrificed myself for those around me to achieve a life of fortune for us. I’m not the typical female artist you’re used to hearing nowadays. I will accomplish everything I desire in this life on my own from straight hustling, not ass kissing or riding someone else wave for clout. I am the wave. I also don’t need no man to get me to the top either. I rely on no one. I’ve done this journey completely alone, pure hustle and hard work. It is very hard as a female in this industry but like I said I will never stop!

Interviewer: What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?

I would advise you guys of course to never give up, but also hustle! Go outside. You never know who you will meet. Try something new in your life, new cities. New people. New things. Get out of your comfort zone. Don’t just go outside waiting for things to happen. MAKE THEM HAPPEN. speak about yourself and your brand like you’re already where you want to be. You have to believe it so others can. Confidence is key. Make sure youre always 100% confident in yourself when speaking on your work. YOURE YOUR OWN BRAND. not just your music. Your entire persona. go outside and mingle and network with other artists, upcoming and ones you wanna be like. Talk. Ask questions. Study them. Don’t ever let nobody bring you down.

Take personal days to self cleanse so when you’re back outside your sociableness and confidence is back up to 100%. Always be real. And humble. Always trust your gut about people. Stand on business. Never let anyone play you like a fool. Always be open minded. Your reputation will always stay with you forever. Remember that. Don’t let people think they can control your emotions. Be vulnerable in your music only. When you’re outside act like your favorite celebrity. Until you are your favorite celebrity.

Interviewer: And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future?

Definitely Tory lanez, The Weeknd, Drake, Brent faiyez, future, young thug, lil baby, lil Wayne, Kali uchis. & some NY artists of course like nicki Minaj, Dave East , ice spice, melii

Interviewer: Any upcoming projects?

Yes I’m glad you asked. I’m working on an ep coming soon within the next few months. A mini album so you can get to know more about me. Has alot of great songs on there I’m so excited for you guys to hear like the single that’s already going crazy on social media “For U” from the little snippet I released. A lot of great things coming soon. Stay tuned! 😊
